Tango is just the beginning. It comes bundled up with confidence in social interactions, clear communication, perfect manners, correct posture, body awareness, beautiful walk and much, much more… We teach Medford, MA students the beauty of Argentine Tango dance infused with other aspects such us art building community, taking responsibility, creating goals and shining while achieving them. To dance and to perform is a dream of many, many kids. Now the dream can come true with Ultimate Tango brand new Ultimate Tango Kids division. Starting September 2019 we are introducing brand new Kids Performance Programs dedicated solely to kids and teens ages 6-17. Argentine Tango is a couple dance based on partnership. Therefore is not just improvement of one’s own skills that matters, but also ability to clearly communicate with one’s dance partner. To perform as part of a group, alongside other couples requires even more involvement. We aim for perfect synchronicity, alignment with music, expression and illustration of feelings, all while executing often very complicated figures, steps and sequences. Group Performance experience requires trust and commitment to your partner and to all your peers, which often leads to life long friendships. During 75 60-minutes sessions scheduled twice a week on Wednesdays & Fridays between September and May students will master 4 choreographies with progressively increasing level of difficulty and perform them during 2 recitals. All students enrolled in the program will learn fundamental structure of Argentine Tango, its most recognized steps, combinations and elements including cruzada, baldoza, ocho adelante, ocho atras, parade, sandwich and giros in various variations. More advanced elements will be added in second part of the training that might include variations with sacadas, boloes, ganchos, calecitas and more based on the talent of the group.
