The McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies is the graduate arm of the University of Massachusetts Boston, based in Boston, Massachusetts. It centers on policy and global studies with the aim of turning knowledge and research into improvements in public policy that affect people's lives. The school prioritizes interdisciplinary, values-driven education with a focus on social justice, governance, and policies that are economically, environmentally, and socially sustainable. It offers Doctorate, Masters, and Graduate Certificates across fields such as Conflict Resolution, Gerontology, Global Comparative Public Policy, Global Governance and Human Security, International Relations, Public Administration, and Public Policy, and it hosts eleven research centers and institutes that support its educational mission. Its community includes faculty, students, alumni, and partners who collaborate to address inequities in local and global communities. A recent development is a June 2026 partnership with the Boston Women's Fund to develop a report on how women of color grassroots leaders navigate inequities while driving solutions.
