UMPS CARE Charities is a Maryland-based non-profit founded through the compassion of Major League Baseball umpires to provide financial, in-kind, and emotional support to America's youth and families in need. The organization pursues its mission through three core programs: BLUE Crew Ticket experiences, BLUE for Kids Build-A-Bear activities in children's hospitals, and the All-Star Scholarship for college funding for youth adopted later in life. Its programs target at-risk youth, children coping with serious illness, foster children, and military families, delivering experiences and resources to support well-being and development. The Build-A-Bear effort serves pediatric patients nationwide, while the scholarship program focuses on post-adoption higher education opportunities. Based in Edgewater, Maryland, UMPS CARE has continued to expand its collaborations and initiatives, including a 2026 partnership with Ump Attire to create specialty caps for VIP ballpark visits tied to its activities.
