The Union of the Vietnamese Student Associations Southern California is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, non-partisan, community-based organization that provides a coordinated voice for Vietnamese American youth and connects students from colleges and high schools across Southern California. Founded in 1982, the organization brings together 13 collegiate Vietnamese Student Associations/Unions and 15 high-school VSAs through the Vietnamese American High Schools Alliance. Its activities encompass major cultural events such as the Tet Festival of Southern California, leadership camps, commemorations of Black April, galas and social gatherings, as well as charitable and advocacy initiatives like charity car washes, fundraising dinners, International Human Rights Night, and candlelight vigils for religious freedom in Vietnam.
