The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) operates as a United Nations regional commission focused on promoting pan-European economic integration. Established in 1947 by ECOSOC, it brings together 56 member states across Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and parts of North America to discuss economic and sectoral issues, and to align policies through analysis, policy advice, and government assistance.
