United Southern Waste is a Dallas-based textile recycling company with a long history, dating from 1914. It is a family-owned operation that sources and redistributes used clothing and wiping rags on a global scale. The company collects used clothing from across the United States, carefully sorts it by type and quality, and sends wearable garments to developing countries. Non-wearable remnants are turned into cleaning rag products that are sold domestically to a range of industries. USW operates within the textile recycling and repurposing sector, connecting discarded textiles with international markets and domestic buyers of rags. In January 2025, RTCM Holdings, Inc. (operating as Reclaimed Cleaning Textiles and World Wear Project) announced the acquisition of United-Southern Waste Material Co.
