The United States Conference of Mayors is a nonpartisan national association representing U.S. cities with populations of 30,000 or more, with each city represented by its mayor. There are more than 1,400 such cities nationwide. The organization aims to shape national urban policy, strengthen federal-city relationships, and provide mayors with leadership tools while offering a forum to share ideas. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., it operates as a mid-sized public policy body in the government relations space. Its activities include regular meetings, notably a Winter Meeting in January in Washington and an Annual Meeting in June in different cities, plus other events as directed. In March 2026, the Conference launched the Game Changer Program with Amrize to help civic leaders pursue transformative development and investment, including new sports venues.
