The United States Polo Association (USPA) is the national governing body for polo in North America, founded in 1890, and is the second oldest sport governing body in the United States after the United States Tennis Association. It regulates polo handicaps, tournament rules, and safety standards to safeguard the welfare of horses and players, and oversees nearly 300 member clubs and 40 national tournaments in the spectator sports sector. The organization is based at 9011 Lake Worth Road, Wellington, Florida 33467, United States, and employs between 51 and 200 people. Financing comes from sales of the officially licensed consumer brand, U.S. Polo Assn., with revenue reinvested to support development programs that expand and sustain polo. In 2025–2026 the USPA pursued digital initiatives, including launching a digital streaming platform to provide live streaming coverage, archived games, and exclusive content for members and polo fans.
