United Way of South Central Georgia is committed to mobilizing the caring power of communities in order to bring positive Community Impact through the basic building blocks of educational success for children, income stability for families and healthy living for all. Specifically, UWSCGA is focused on Early Literacy, Youth Mentoring, Job Readiness (particularly GED prep), Affordable Child Care, Basic Nutrition and Access to Health Services (especially mental health services). Serving the counties of Ben Hill, Cook, Irwin, Tift and Turner, we bring together the resources of donors, volunteers and advocates with an aim to build a better tomorrow for all residents of our five county service area.
