Universidad Hispanoamericana is a private higher education institution based in Puntarenas, Costa Rica, with a network of campuses across several cities and San José neighborhoods. It originated as Colegio Sapientia, a university-level college affiliated with the country's first private university, and in 1991 it became independent as Universidad Hispanoamericana. The university offers more than 30 programs at bachelor's, licenciatura, and master's levels across campuses in Llorente de Tibás, Heredia, Puntarenas, and the San José districts of Aranjuez and Escalante. Its mission focuses on training professionals who will lead and drive societal change in Costa Rica and beyond through teaching, research, and social action across academic, humanistic, technological, and business domains. The institution maintains modern campuses and facilities across its locations.
