Universidade Católica de Brasília is a private, Catholic higher education institution based in Brasília, Brazil, administered by UBEC, a Catholic education association founded in 1972. It traces its origins to 1974 when the Faculdade Católica de Ciências Humanas began offering Economics, Administration, and Pedagogy, and gradually expanded into a broader university structure. About 15 years after its founding, the institution received recognition as a university from the Brazilian Ministry of Education, while continuing to emphasize knowledge alongside a Christian ethical framework. 

Today, the university offers 37 undergraduate programs, 10 master's programs, and five doctoral programs, supported by a portfolio of research and extension activities that includes around 100 student-engaged research projects and more than 50 extension projects. It provides on-campus instruction as well as distance learning with study centers across 27 states and outreach in countries such as Japan and the United States. It has earned recognitions in national rankings, including being named the best private university in the Center-West by Ranking Universitário Folha in 2014 and receiving the Top of Mind distinction in the Federal District.
