The Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) is a public federal university located in Viçosa, Minas Gerais, Brazil. It traces its origins to the Higher School of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, established in 1926, and underwent several reorganizations before federalization in 1969. Since 2006, UFV has expanded its presence with campuses in Florestal and Rio Paranaíba, in addition to its Viçosa campus. The university offers high school and technical education, along with undergraduate and graduate programs. UFV serves more than 20,000 students and has graduated over 60,000 professionals, reflecting its long-standing role in education and research.
