We are a knowledge and innovation hub serving the region, while cultivating an international outlook. Under private management, we have a federated structure across four campuses: Vic, Manresa, Medicine and Barcelona, together with centres in Granollers and Manlleu. In all, we currently have over 23,000 students, 12,700 of whom are on recognised degree courses, and over 1,700 teachers and researchers. We offer 80 recognised degrees (including bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, doctoral programmes and vocational training) in the fields of Biosciences, Communication, Design, Education, Business, Social Studies, Engineering, Sport, Languages and Translation, Psychology and Health, and over 550 lifelong learning programmes. Our comprehensive, student-focused training cultivates graduates who balance creative vision with professional rigour and a commitment to social impact. Over the last 15 years, our research ecosystem has seen considerable growth. This commitment to innovation is backed by a robust infrastructure: 25 recognised research groups, 6 research and knowledge transfer centres, 19 research chairs and the Institute for Research and Innovation in Life and Health Sciences in Central Catalonia (IRIS-CC). UVic-UCC is essential to the strategic development of Central Catalonia, fostering a balanced higher education and research framework, combining academic rigour and a human touch.
