The University Hospital Aachen (UKA) is a modern centre for high performance medicine, which enjoys an excellent reputation far beyond the city boundaries. Combined under its roof are consistent patient-oriented medical treatment, efficient teaching and innovative research, as the UKA also hosts the Medical Faculty of RWTH Aachen University, founded in 1966. We offer our patients the highest level of treatment, i.e. 32 departments and 25 institutes cover the entire spectrum of modern medicine. Approximately 1,400 beds are available for inpatient medical care. Annually about 45,000 inpatients and 200,000 out-patients benefit from the highest standards of medical treatment.
