The University of Central Asia (UCA) is a private, not-for-profit, secular higher education institution established in 2000 through an international treaty among the presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan and His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan IV; the agreement was ratified by parliaments and registered with the United Nations. Its aim is to advance social and economic development in Central Asia, with a focus on mountain communities, by offering an internationally recognized standard of higher education and by helping communities safeguard their cultural heritage as a long-term asset. Supported by the Aga Khan Development Network, the university is based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

UCA serves students seeking higher education and professionals through continuing education and capacity-building programs, and collaborates with public-sector partners to broaden access to knowledge and skills. In 2024, it signed a memorandum of understanding with Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Digital Development to advance digital skills and sustainable development. The institution maintains an international governance framework with patrons and a chancellor, reflecting its regional role in expanding education and knowledge-based opportunities in Central Asia.
