The University of North Texas System is a public higher education network in Texas comprising three independent universities: the University of North Texas in Denton, the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, and the University of North Texas at Dallas. The system’s administration is based in Downtown Dallas, and it is governed by a Board of Regents appointed by the Governor. It is the only public university system headquartered in the North Texas region, serving students across five major teaching locations, including each main campus as well as Frisco and Downtown Dallas.

Together, UNT System institutions award more than 9,000 degrees each year, including the largest share of master’s and doctoral degrees in the region. The system supports a combined enrollment exceeding 42,000 students across its campuses, and it contributes to the Texas economy with an annual impact of about $5.2 billion.
