Based in Piraeus in the Attica region of Greece, the University of Piraeus (UniPi) is a public university organized into ten departments, with programs centered on business management, computer science, economics, finance, and maritime studies. It is the second-oldest business school in Greece, and its Department of Banking and Financial Management is the oldest finance-focused academic department in the country. The university traces its origins to 1938, when it was founded as the School for Industrial Studies; it became a public university in 1966 and adopted its current name in 1989.
