The University of Washington Libraries is a large library system in the United States, offering extensive collections across print, digital, and other formats. It serves three campuses and operates as a regional and professional leader in library services and scholarship. The libraries are recognized for strong public service, innovative learning and research spaces, collaborative practices, ongoing assessment, and a diverse, award-winning staff. The libraries welcome more than five million users each year and are integral to the university’s education, clinical care, and research missions, while also serving the broader public with physical and online collections, including archival materials documenting regional histories and cultures. In late 2025, the university appointed a Chief of Staff to support leadership on federal research funding and equity initiatives.
