Unloop supports formerly incarcerated and justice-impacted individuals in building the digital skills and professional readiness needed to pursue living-wage careers. Our programs focus on technology training, modern workplace tools, and supportive connections that help participants take their next steps. Unloop’s training programs help justice-impacted individuals gain the digital skills and confidence needed to succeed in today’s workforce. Whether you're just beginning or rebuilding after incarceration, our goal is to help you build toward a career with stability, resilience, and purpose. Unloop was founded in 2015 to address clear and urgent need: justice-impacted individuals were being left behind as digital skills became essential to accessing opportunity. With input across a wide circle of corrections-based learners and tech-committed volunteers, we set out to build real pathways to practical technology skills. In partnership with Washington State community colleges and the Department of Corrections, Unloop launched college-accredited programs that helped justice-impacted students earn web development certificates. As participants returned home, we evolved to support their ongoing journeys — focusing on reentry education, tech readiness, and community connection. Today, Unloop continues to evolve to meet the technology job market and participant needs. We remain grounded in our commitment to reducing recidivism, increasing equity in the workforce, and ensuring that justice-impacted individuals have access to meaningful learning opportunities and living-wage employment. At our core, we are a community—of students, alumni, educators, technologists, and partners—working together to reduce recidivism, promote equity, and open doors to meaningful careers.
