Up-Close Realism specializes in miniature history dioramas, both in-the-round and enclosed. We also build large-scale models of small objects, as well as cut-away models.

That got your attention, didn’t it? After all, not every visitor will be a scholar who reads every text rail and label. We appeal even to those not normally drawn to the subject matter. To that end, please include us at the early stages of exhibit planning, so  we can recommend the most interesting ways to present your material. The better the story the model tells, the more people you reach.

Of course, not every concept is best expressed by a model. In that case, we would recommend other approaches, such as interactives, videos or illustrations. If that happens, we will recommend other vendors who can help you. 

Up-Close Realism was founded in 1998 by Paul N. Pallansch, the principal. He is known for coming up with the most elegant solution to every model making problem, and including extra touches that bring models to life, while maintaining strict accuracy. He and his team work to make models into centerpieces of interest in the exhibit. People seeing them grasp their stories immediately, because they are human stories, and are universal.
