UP Health System – Bell is a thriving, community-oriented hospital that has served the residents of Western Marquette and Baraga County for more than a century. The 25-bed, critical access hospital offers dedicated birthing suites, acute care and swing bed rooms. A new, state-of-the-art facility was built in 2008, with 10 physician practices in specialty clinics adjoining the hospital for patient convenience and satisfaction. The hospital is physician-staffed 24 hours a day.

UP Health System – Bell offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services that include general surgery, as well as orthopedic, gynecological, endoscopic, ophthalmologic, plastic and oral surgery. The hospital has exceptional record of quality and safety, including record low infection rates and patient satisfaction scores that are among the best in the nation. UP Health System – Bell delivers more than 250 babies per year, has a thriving swing bed program, performs 3,500 surgeries and serves more than 1,300 inpatients and 83,000 outpatients annually. The Emergency Department handles approximately 10,000 cases each year.
