Urban Artifact operates as a craft brewery with a taproom, full bar, and live music venue. It is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, with the taproom located in the lower level of the historic St Patrick’s church in Northside and the brewery housed in the adjacent gymnasium building. The facility accommodates hundreds of guests, and a courtyard between the buildings is a popular outdoor seating area. It targets beer enthusiasts and local residents seeking a social venue that blends production, tasting, and events, with a focus on experimental and fruit-forward brews. The company has earned national attention through competition medals and rankings, including a gold medal in the 2023 U.S. Open Beer Championship for a pickle vegetable beer, and later recognition in 2024 as among top breweries in the United States. In 2024, it released a pear-flavored Midwest fruit tart ale and designated a fruit-forward beer as its year’s featured flavor, with continued medal-winning performances in 2025, such as multiple medals at the U.S. Beer Open Championship.
