Urban Community School is a primary and secondary school on Cleveland's near west side, serving nearly 750 students from six weeks to eighth grade. It provides an individualized, innovative, and challenging education rooted in the Ursuline Sisters’ tradition of faith, character, and educational excellence. The school collaborates with faculty, families, and community partners to support the whole-child development, with a majority of families receiving significant financial support and three-quarters of students qualifying for the National School Lunch Program. It operates within the primary and secondary education sector and is expanding its campus to broaden wraparound services for students and their families. On campus, Urban Community School works with partner organizations such as The MetroHealth System, Urban Squash Cleveland, Re:Source Cleveland, Facing History and Ourselves, House of Champions, and USA Lacrosse. A notable recent development is a 2019 partnership with USA Fencing to offer fencing to elementary and middle school students in underserved communities.
