US CREST is a private, non-profit public research institute based in Arlington, Virginia, established in 1989. Its focus is on transatlantic defense and aerospace policy. The organization aims to illuminate how international relations, defense, trade, science and technology influence one another. Its principal objective is to offer both the United States and Europe insight into the other's perspective, supporting a broad, constructive dialogue on economic, political, security and aerospace concerns shared by the two regions.

As a small think tank, its work targets audiences interested in policy and public understanding of cross-Atlantic issues.
