USAI Lighting is a mid-sized, family-owned lighting manufacturer based in New Windsor, New York, in the Hudson Valley. It designs and manufactures architectural lighting fixtures that draw on a range of light sources, prioritizing high performance, consistent color, and compact optical packages. Its heritage traces to inventor William Littman, who developed the first fluorescent fixtures for GE and showcased them at the 1939 World's Fair, and the business remains owned and operated by the Littman family. USAI holds patents for proprietary electrical and mechanical technologies, underscoring a tradition of innovation in the architectural lighting field. In March 2026, the company introduced the Small In One-Mini, a compact recessed fixture designed for install-from-below applications, combining downlighting, adjustability, and wall-washing in a single form.
