USO Central Florida is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization chartered by Congress, and dedicated to strengthening America's military service members and their families across Central Florida. With the help of hundreds of devoted volunteers, USO Central Florida provides morale-boosting programs and services for more than 60,000 active duty troops and their families across the state. The way we see it, the USO is how America thanks and supports its troops and their families. We take the dollars our donors entrust us with and carefully invest them in programming, center support and talented professionals who can execute our mission, working to anticipate the ever-evolving needs of service members and their families. A nonprofit, congressionally chartered, private organization, USO Central Florida relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations and corporations to support its activities. The USO is not part of the U.S. government, but is recognized by the Department of Defense, Congress and President of the United States, who serves as Honorary Chairman of the USO.
