Vadilal Industries Limited is a player in the food and beverage sector with a focus on ice cream products. The company traces its origins to 1907, when Vadilal Gandhi started a soda fountain, and it evolved into a modern ice cream business characterized by a wide range of flavors, consistent quality, and the use of up-to-date equipment. Based in Darpan Society, Gujarat, the business grew from a single outlet to a larger network, recording eight to ten outlets in Ahmedabad by the early 1970s and expanding into neighboring states such as Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh through the 1980s. Today, Vadilal continues to extend its regional footprint beyond Gujarat, reflecting a deliberate, gradual expansion strategy. Recent developments include the Melody Ice Cream launch in June 2026 in partnership with Parle, and the Pista Kunafa flavor introduced in April 2026. The group remains a sizeable regional presence with a long-standing history in the area.
