Purchased by Copart in 2017, we are now known as Copart Construction (formerly Bright Excavation) developing private sites across the U.S. for our parent company, Copart (CPRT). Originally founded in 1983 by Dwaine and Clarence Bright, the company was a family-run commercial contractor business headquartered in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Our skilled team now has more than 150 years of combined experience in earthwork, drainage, utilities and paving. Our crews have experience completing jobs for many well-known industry-leading organizations and meeting the quality standards of Wal-Mart, Halliburton, Target, Lowe’s and Home Depot. We take on projects nationwide and ensure our teams have access to the latest tools and equipment to meet the high standards our company expects. Our equipment fleet includes over 100 pieces of late-model earthwork and paving equipment. We use state-of-the-art 3D GPS CAD mapping systems to design and bid on projects with optimal accuracy. Since 2017, the Copart Construction team has constructed new vehicle storage yards, expansions of existing facilities across the U.S. Our teams also respond to catastrophe relief efforts during hurricanes, floods, hail storms and other disasters. We ambitiously pursue every project with Quality, Safety and Community in mind.
