Through my organization, ValiantLane, I provide STEM-focused college counseling and career coaching across the full education-to-work lifecycle. My work is grounded in a simple belief: workforce sustainability begins with individuals who are aligned with their purpose, supported in their development, and equipped with self-leadership skills at every stage of experience. As a former research and consulting environmental scientist with more than 14 years of technical and business experience, I bring firsthand knowledge of STEM and STEM-related sectors—from academic research and university–industry collaboration to operations management and litigation support in the environmental consulting industry serving Fortune 500 companies. This background enables me to understand both the human and organizational realities of STEM education and work. Through individualized college counseling, I partner with high-school students and their families, as well as graduate studies bound students, to clarify educational goals, identify best-fit academic pathways, and create thoughtful, achievable visions for success. My thinking-partner approach blends creative exploration with practical strategy, while prioritizing well-being and resilience—supported by my training as a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. As a career coach, I work with individuals to weave their strengths, values, life experience, and aspirations into an authentic professional narrative. Together, we develop a clear career vision, plan a strategy for attaining it, and identify best-fit directions within appropriate STEM sectors.
