Being in the Sheet Metal trade for over 20 years I have found that most heating and cooling systems lack a good air distribution system. People pay large sums of money for high efficiency systems that ultimately get hooked up to under performing distribution systems. If the efficiency of the furnace or air conditioner is important to you, then the distribution system should be just as important. The furnace or air conditioner could be working much harder or longer than it has to if it is not installed with a quality duct system to distribute the conditioned air.
