Valley View University is a private higher education institution based in Accra, in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. It was founded in 1979 by the West African Union Mission of Seventh-day Adventists (now the Ghana Union Conference) and later integrated into the Adventist University system led by the Africa-Indian Ocean Division. In 1997, the university obtained national accreditation to confer its own degrees, becoming the first private Ghanaian university to achieve that status. The university serves students seeking higher education and carries a historical emphasis on theology and religious studies, with a broader program portfolio developed through collaborations. It maintains active partnerships with external organizations and international institutions to strengthen curricula and capacity, including a 2024 collaboration with the Georgia State University Foundation to advance nursing education.
