The Vancouver Police Department is the municipal law enforcement agency serving Vancouver in British Columbia. Founded in 1886, it has evolved to safeguard residents, business owners, and visitors in a diverse, multi-cultural port city, guided by principles of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence. The department operates within a framework led by a Chief Constable and three Deputy Chief Constables who oversee distinct divisions.
