Varenne Capital Partners is a Paris-based, process-driven, global investment manager whose purpose is to deliver superior long-term returns with the minimum necessary risk-taking. We strive to achieve this goal by employing proprietary research and combining complementary investment frameworks in a single strategy: Long Equity, Short Equity, Merger Arbitrage and Tail Risk Hedging. Our ‘brokers are not welcome’ policy means that we rely exclusively on our own internal research and base our analysis on facts and figures. All of our investment frameworks stem from years of research and development and as a result comprise original methodologies, formalized processes, dedicated teams of analysts and bespoke information systems. Our research serves as the foundation for managing both UCITS and AIF investment vehicles. Founded by its current management team, Varenne operated as an advisor to VEGA Finance – the private banking arm of the Natixis Group – between 2003 and 2006, and has since acted as a fully independent investment manager.
