Ventures is a Latina immigrant‑led nonprofit organization operating in the civic and social sector, based in Watsonville in California’s Central Coast. Founded in 1989, it partners with rural Latino working‑class families to build a more equitable local economy by helping people understand and leverage their economic and political power, from saving to advocating for a living wage. The organization emphasizes community leadership and dignity, aiming to create wealth and financial stability independent of zip code, race, gender, or immigration status, and it links wealth building with self‑determination. In its work, Ventures focuses on building an inclusive economic future for Monterey Bay Region residents, with programs designed to connect individual financial stability to broader community well‑being.
