Verde Valley Fire District is a public safety organization that provides fire suppression and emergency medical services to the towns of Cornville, Clarkdale, and the areas surrounding Cottonwood in the Verde Valley of Arizona. Based in Cottonwood, it serves a regional community with a focus on timely response to fires and medical emergencies. The district operates within the public safety sector, coordinating fire and EMS operations to protect residents and property in its service area. 

The district has developed collaborative training arrangements with neighboring agencies to strengthen preparedness, including partnerships with Jerome Fire Department, Verde Valley Ambulance Company and Copper Canyon Fire and Medical Authority, as well as an earlier collaboration with UniSource Energy Services for natural gas emergencies. In September 2024, Verde Valley Fire District was recognized with a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. Earlier, in 2018, the district appointed Joe Moore as Fire Chief.
