Vermont Humanities is a statewide nonprofit based in Montpelier, Vermont, founded in 1974. As a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, it promotes engagement with ideas to foster reading, civic participation, and lifelong learning across the state. Each year, the organization sponsors more than 1,200 programs in towns across all counties, reaching Vermonters of diverse ages and backgrounds.
