Vernet Group is a mid-sized industrial machinery manufacturer based in Ollainville, Île-de-France. Its origins lie with Calorstat, founded in 1927 by Edgar B. Frank, and the business evolved into a global presence in thermal regulation while maintaining its core values. Early milestones included a central heating boiler temperature regulator in 1932 and the adoption of metal-bellows thermostats for automotive use in 1950. After Calorstat acquired Vernet in 1962, the company introduced the wax thermostatic element in 1965, a development that set it apart from competitors. By 1970 Vernet expanded into thermostatic elements for heating and plumbing sanitary applications and established its headquarters at Ollainville, which became the group’s largest site. Today the group focuses on thermostatic and temperature-regulation technologies applied across heating, plumbing sanitary, and automotive contexts. It operates in the industrial machinery manufacturing industry and has a notable regional presence in the Paris region through its Ollainville facilities, reflecting a mid-sized enterprise with a substantial footprint.
