The Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center of Delaware (VSCD) is the only veterinary practice in Delaware exclusively providing both 24/7 emergency and intensive care services, as well as specialized care for dogs and cats. Our 10,000 square foot hospital sits behind the New Castle County Airport in New Castle, Delaware on Churchmans Road and is easily accessible via major tri-state highways such as I-95, Delaware Route 13, and the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Pet parents and their pets are drawn primarily from Delaware, Maryland, Southern New Jersey and Southern Pennsylvania. Service options have been expanded since the original opening to include weekday and some weekend appointments for Acupuncture, Anesthesia, Cardiology, Dental, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging including CT and Ultrasound, Emergency/Intensive & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Medicine and Surgery. As a 24/7 facility, weekend appointments are also held for Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Physical Therapy, as well as a busy Emergency/Intensive Care Services. In addition, a Radiocat service is available on-site by a private contractor. The practice has 5 partners, approximately 33 specialists and staff veterinarians, almost 40 nurses and 5 management team members.
