Victoria International Container Terminal (VICT) operates the Port of Melbourne’s Webb Dock international container terminal and the adjacent empty container park under a long-term agreement with the Port of Melbourne Corporation signed in May 2014. The contract covers the design, construction, commissioning, operation, maintenance and financing of the facilities, and grants VICT rights to develop and run the Webb Dock terminal and on-port empty park through 2040. A subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), VICT marks ICTSI’s first entry into Australia. The terminal uses automated processes from the gate to the quayside and sits at the core of Melbourne’s status as Australia’s premier port, with capacity aligned to the Port’s 2.5 million TEU throughput. VICT serves international shipping customers that rely on Melbourne for import and export activity, making the port a key node in global trade networks. The company has continued modernization through automation and equipment upgrades, with a notable development announced in mid-2026 involving new automated handling equipment at Webb Dock.
