The Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA) delivers the state’s transport and health infrastructure programs. This includes more than 200 projects such as the North East Link, Melbourne Airport Rail, removing 110 level crossings, building new hospitals and upgrades to ambulance stations, specialist health services and early parenting centres. The Metro Tunnel and West Gate Tunnel are now open, with more than 55 road upgrades complete, 88 level crossings gone for good, regional rail lines upgraded, and new modern hospitals at Footscray and Frankston taking patients. VIDA is made up of 4 Project Offices: - VIDA Health – delivering crucial health infrastructure projects. - VIDA Rail – delivering Melbourne Airport Rail, level crossing removals, and upgrades to Victoria’s train and tram network - VIDA Roads – delivering North East Link and dozens of essential freeway and road upgrades across the state. - VIDA Metro – delivered the Metro Tunnel project. VIDA is led by Interim Director-General Duncan Elliott and was established on 2 April 2024.
