Since 1918, Villa Augustina School has provided high quality education grounded in Christian values under the direction of the Religious of Jesus and Mary. Accredited by NEASC, the Villa is an independent Catholic school open to families of all faiths. The main objective of the school finds its source in the mission of St. Claudine Thevenet: to educate children, to provide an example of compassionate forgiveness, and βto make known the love of Jesus and Mary.β The Villa strives to be a Christian community composed of students, staff, faculty, administrators and parents whose goal is, not only to develop with special care the intellectual faculties, but also to form the ability to judge rightly, to hand on the cultural legacy of previous generations, and to foster a strong sense of values. The Villa recognizes that young people have a right to be motivated to appraise moral values with a right conscience, and to embrace them with personal adherence and with a deeper knowledge and love of God. Villa Augustina attempts, particularly, to foster concern for social justice. Students are encouraged to care for each other, as well as for those outside the Villa community, and to be of service to those in need. Together we seek new ways to apply Christian values to contemporary problems. The Villa strives to provide an educational program of quality and diversification to students from preschool through eighth grade, which emphasizes peace and reconciliation.
