The Village of Southampton is a municipal government entity on the East End of Long Island, within Suffolk County, New York. It serves a year-round population of just over 3,200 residents, including members of the Shinnecock Nation. Settled in 1640, it is the oldest English settlement in New York State and is named for the Earl of Southampton. The village is located at 23 Main Street, Southampton. In 2024, it appointed Scott Russell to serve as supervisor, taking office September 30, succeeding Anthony Carter.
