Violet Defense operates in the wellness and fitness services sector, offering UV disinfection technology designed to reduce pathogen presence in spaces. Its approach relies on a pulsed xenon UV system that can be installed within a room for continuous sanitation across a range of settings. The technology is described as capable of removing up to 99.9% of several common and harmful pathogens, including E. coli, Salmonella, MRSA, C. diff., Norovirus, C. auris, and coronavirus. The company is based in Melbourne, Florida.

Its target customers are organizations seeking healthier spaces and safer environments, and in 2022 the firm explored a Disinfection as a Service model to treat disinfection as an operating expense. The company has a history of product development, with its pulsed xenon product line launched in 2017, and in 2022 it pursued strategic partnerships and leadership expansion, including collaboration with the University of Central Florida Athletics Association.
