VIS contributes to solve societal challenges efficiently, making sure that knowledge and ideas quickly turns in to benefits for ours society at large. Researchers, entrepreneurs and established businesses contact VIS with challenges and ideas that we develop together. Our ambition is to be the natural supporter of scientists, entrepreneurs and students with results or ideas. The goal is for the idea to be viable in the future, and to deliver better services, products or processes to society VIS has the collaborative skills required for the Western Norway’s ecosystem for innovation, innovation and growth to have both the width, focus and ambition. Our business developers and consultants will facilitate providing relevant advice, linking different environments, implementing projects, and allowing you to leverage our extensive expertise. -VIS gives advice: We have extensive expertise in advising on business development and innovation. -VIS is a network builder: We find partners and funding for entrepreneurial projects and research-based innovation projects. -VIS conducts: We carry out new establishments and innovation processes. VIS is the new name for Bergen Technology Transfer Office (BTO), which was established in 2004. VIS is an acronym and the name carries with it both wisdom and a call to showcase good ideas and value creation. VIS is owned by the University of Bergen, Haukeland University Hospital, Institute of Marine Research, Siva, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, and NHH Norwegian Business School. In addition, we have eight partners: Christian Michelsen Research 7 NORCE, Uni Research / NORCE, Haraldsplass Diakonale Hospital, Helse Fonna, Sogn og Fjordane Knowledge Park, Nofima and Sjukehusapoteka Vest.
