Visiting Nurses Home Care, headquartered in Albany, NY, is a licensed home care agency which has been providing professional home care services and staffing for Capital Region residents since 1988. We employ personal care aides, home health aides, licensed practical nurses, and registered nurses. These home care professionals can perform a variety of services such as assistance with bathing supervision, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, errands, companionship, grocery shopping, grooming and dressing, as well as nursing services.

As a licensed home care agency, VNHC performs all of the necessary screening, hiring, scheduling and payroll functions. Home care may be covered by various insurances or can be privately paid.

VNHC provides services under the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP), and is approved for service coordination and as a provider for the Nursing Home Transition and Diversion (NHTD)/Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Programs. 

Visiting Nurses Home Care provides service to patients who reside in 18 counties in upstate New York: Albany, Clinton, Columbia, Delaware, Dutchess, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Montgomery, Otsego, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren and Washington. In addition to our main office in Albany, we maintain branch offices in Cobleskill, Johnstown, and Queensbury.
