Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired is a Palo Alto-based nonprofit that supports people who are blind or visually impaired through evaluation, counseling, education, and training. Founded more than 75 years ago, it operates from its Palo Alto headquarters with a Santa Cruz branch, serving residents across Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Mateo, and San Benito counties. It acts as a regional resource for vision loss and rehabilitation and provides a range of programs, including Safe and Healthy Living, Low Vision Services, a Technology Program, and services for Children and Youth. The organization also operates stores in Palo Alto and Santa Cruz that offer products to help people adapt to everyday life with vision loss. In 2024, Stanford Medicine Alumni Association renewed its partnership with Vista Center for the Recycle for Sight program.
