VitaScan is a point-of-care diagnostics company that develops simple, scalable, and quantitative tests to solve big problems. Our first product, IronScan, rapidly identifies iron deficiency, a health condition that affects one-third of the world population. Each year, iron deficiency causes over 100,000 maternal deaths and raises risk of miscarriage and stillbirth for 500 million women. Another 500 million young children face permanent development problems through their critical early years. We aim to make IronScan the new standard of care and enable on-the-spot test and treatment for all who suffer from iron deficiency.
