Utilizing Innovative Point Spread Function Principles – Measuring to a Higher Level of Sensitivity and Accuracy

Vmax Vision proprietary PSF refraction devices enable practices to deliver measurably better patient vision. Patients can easily discern subtle differences in focus beyond what can be detected using phoropter and Snellen letters so final prescriptions can be refined down to 0.05 Diopters and 0.50 Degree increments – rather than 0.25 Diopters and 5 Degree increments with the phoropter. Patients not only see markedly better, many improve from 20/20 to 20/12.*

PSF Refractor™ is five times more accurate than a traditional phoropter* with prescriptions refined to 0.05 D. It is designed to achieve better than 20/20 vision. 

PSF Integro™ encompasses all of the features and benefits of the PSF Refractor but in a compact design – optimal for smaller exam rooms, tight spaces and pre-test areas. The PSF Integro features a 20 foot effective viewing distance in a
2’x3’ space – without inducing accommodative response.

Perfectus™ incorporates the PSF Integro and wavefront autorefraction. This unique combination can reduce
refraction time and increase the visual acuity of the subjective endpoint. Additionally, the Perfectus increases operational efficiency by eliminating the need to move the patient or transfer data between instruments.

All Vmax Vision refractors allow for a subjective exam in nighttime conditions, utilizing the patient’s natural nighttime pupil size. This is the first true subjective solution to night vision challenges. The result is improved patient vision with a unique nighttime vision prescription and an
additional pair of corrective lenses.

Encepsion™ Lenses perfectly complement the highly accurate PSF refraction.  Every lens is created using Diamond Point™ free-form technology.  Lenses are customized to meet patient’s needs and lifestyles.
