The optical fibers used for the production of fiber optic light guides are drawn at the fiber drawing facilities in Auburn,NY. As one of the very few companies in the industry, Volpi is familiar with both winding and randomized techniques for extremely thin glass fibers. Because they were also an early entrant in the development of illumination components based on light-emitting diodes (LED), the hybrid solutions constructed by Volpi represent an absolute highlight of the industry.
