Volunteer Center of Santa Cruz County Connect for Good. We believe that meaningful connection is the heart of a strong, vibrant community. Since 1967, the Volunteer Center has helped people across Santa Cruz County come together in service—turning compassion into connection, and connection into lasting impact. Today, we operate 22 programs across 4 community hubs, engaging more than 14,000 volunteers and partnering with over 7,000 neighbors each year. Our work focuses on three core areas: 🔹 Volunteer Connect – Inspiring a culture of service through storytelling, outreach, and community programs like Be the Difference Awards, Santa Cruz Gives, and our well-loved monthly Volunteer Center e-news, which connects thousands of locals with timely opportunities to get involved. 🔹 VolunteerMatch – Connecting people to the causes they care about most. Through our online platform and local partnerships, we work with hundreds of nonprofits across Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties to help them find the volunteers they need to fulfill their mission. 🔹 Strengthening Community – Filling service gaps through trusted programs like Community Connection for Mental Health, Wellness Connect, Friends Outside, Empowered Aging, and Adopt a Family. We support youth, seniors, caregivers, and families with resources for resilience, belonging, and brighter futures. At our core, we believe that everyone has something to give—and that neighbors helping neighbors is how we all thrive.
